Exercise Gym Ball

How much more effective are the exercises on the Swiss exercise balls and then just regular exercises on the floor?

I've heard they're about 65% – 408% more effective. Give me examples of the best exercises (please: D). But I've also heard that some fitness experts say that 70% of the Swiss ball exercises are worthless. Can you give me examples of these useless exercises? My first time on an exercise ball in the gym yesterday. I cracks in them and immediately I felt my heartburn after 2 cracks. Obviously they are better than regular crunches, and that leads me at least 20 on the ground to feel the effects, and are nowhere near as intense as the few I've done in the Swiss ball. PS. They are simply fun to use too, I'm going to buy one for me and my mom-to-day today: D
