Can I rent fitness equipment?

I want a stationary bike, but I'm like most people do not want to make a major investment something that could only be a clothing hangar in a few years (granted a bicycle can be only a couple hundred dollars, but still is out of my budget right now). Is it possible to rent a stationary bike or other equipment for my house for a period of time?

Never heard talk about such a thing, except for bicycles and the like. I do not know where you live, but in the U.S., www.craigslist.com is a great local source for new and used products. Personally, I get slightly used one that has been a coat hanger at another person before shelling out dollars for a new one.
