Gym Workout Sequence

Is there a sequence of training exercises in the gym?
I heard that while working in the gym we have to follow a sequence defined! Is it true?, Like, 1) Dips 2) abs n etc?? If so can ANY1 put in that sequence? that il help me:) Thanks in advance:)
I just did 30 minutes of fast walk on the treadmill, 20 minutes on the exercise bike, 10 minutes at the coach of the Cross, 10 minutes on the machine rowing and then 10 minutes of light hand weights
