I'm about to start a running program, but I need an opinion or two. .?

I am running for my health. . actually not race, nor nothing. I really just want to get into a routine. The only time of day that can be run at 5:30 am. . and I just turned in my neighborhood because I worry more than anywhere else as security as it is so early. The only problem is that roads are not as long and straight difficutl thats kind of a run. I thought about just going in the treadmill in our gym, but I heard that you burn more calories and better than running outdoors. What do you think is better? I would finally be able to run about a mile or so. Is it so wrong to do this training on a treadmill or suck it up and leave me? Any advice is helpful!

I think running on a treadmill is safer. I use to run outside and were almost hit by a car on several occasions. I sprained ankle once a year. I use my treadmill three miles, three times a week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 calories less per day for a week, you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week, you will lose one pound. * 2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat small meals portions during the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement. Avoid "High Glycemic Load Carbs" (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches, as bread, pasta, refined grains like white rice, starchy vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water.
