I'm working .. But my muscles seem to be getting smaller .. What's happening?

a couple of months I was working at home for myself, my arm muscles are very defined. but about two months ago I joined a gym and actually started using the machines and equipment I have a program, a coach, etc, but I'm noticing my muscles seem to be less defined and smaller from what O_O? I'm doing 2-3 sets of 15 repetitions. with 30 pounds, as-10 (only did 8 pounds when I was working at home) I think I'm working harder .. on my left arm is like my triceps … almost gone! I'm very upset! Why am I losing muscle?! Today I was doing tricep push back and my shoulder started to hurt. so I do not think I was doing the exercise correctly .. That's why I'm not seeing results? I'm not doing the exercise correctly? I have a coach tell me how. I I'm eating tons of protein. I can eat 6 times a day, all foods have protein and carbohydrates in them.
