A good exercise routine?
Hey, I need a fitness routine really good. I have a contest to do in about 12 months and really want to know what kind of fitness routine I have to follow. I'm very comfortable 140 pounds, 5'7, but I want to leave my comfort zone and be healthier for life … I'm doing good with food. I am vegetarian (no meat or egg products), I do not think of it as a diet, but I need to survive, they receive protein (Yes, there are other sources of protein than meat) and avoid soft drinks 99% of the time. I just need a good workout routine to accompany this. And please respond accordingly … (No, "I hate parades," or "You need to stay who you are because that …") not answer the question … Thanks!
follow a routine. rise at the same time every morning, stretch, then walk or jog and run about 5 miles and then have a nutritious breakfast. do yoga in the afternoon, followed by 45 minutes of exercise … and then a quick swim. If you are a vegan, remember to take supplements of B-12 – this is very important because B-12 comes from meat. (Without going into great detail, my B-12 levels were so low that caused health problems.)

Return to Fitness: $11.52 It wasn’t supposed to be this way. I was an endurance athlete, a two-time Hawaii Ironman finisher. Then middle age hit and my fitness crumbled overnight. After losing interest in fitness and suffering illnesses, Bill Katovsky–who once biked solo across the United States–couldn’t jog more than one hundred yards. But he willed himself to get back in shape after a ten-year hiatus. Katovsky’s personal journey to reclaim fitness also examines aging, body fat, nutrition, injuries, motivation, running, biking, and training. Return to Fitness offers essential advice from experts as well as inspirational stories from weekend warriors who have been there, and back. From the coauthor of Bike for Life and founder of Tri-Athlete Magazine, comes an indispensable guide to regaining health and fitness after illness, inactivity, or injury. |
