Is this at all effective?? Anybody can answer, open to all opinions?

Okay well today my sister received a friday school (when you sit in the cafeteria for 2 hours not talking, two at a table only going to the restroom once for forgetting her gym uniform. She’s only 12 years old and in the 7th grade. Well i think that it too much. In the past they just received points off. Plus i think she should wear her school clothes its her fault no need to punish her. Well what if a parent goes and confronts the teacher? Will that change the rules they recently enforced? What could a parent do to change that rule? Also I went to the same school 2 years ago and the rule was just points off.

The rule is not made by the teacher but by the Principal or School Board. Make an appointment to see the Principal./
