A gym for me in New York?

I'm looking to join a gym, I was thinking of NYSC but are a bit expensive for what I do, I just want work a little for a few days a week at a gym, clean and unadorned, without having to wait for machines, etc. I am not a gym rat and I have no plans go to group exercise classes or anything like that. I hear a planet gym recently opened in Harlem? Does anyone know if this is good? Thanks!

Planet Fitness is definitely a no frills gym … just a bunch of available exercise equipment, weights, etc. I have seen of West 225th Street, and if this is an indication of what can be like Harlem, it's simple, no frills.
