Are there any security Guildelines for the use of tatami in the United Kingdom?

A friend of mine was seriously injured due to differences in 2 mats in a martial arts gym. Should have been the guidelines to avoid this?

Reed tatami are right? Why have them on the floor the gym? You mean to land on the mats? As for the guidelines, common sense and MRU should have entered it I guess. If your friend is only looking to sue someone, then I hope they lose, if you need to make a claim because hes unable to work due to an injury then you should talk with the instructor – the club must have insurance.
