School Gym Rules

Did you ladies playing intramural basketball with their respective regulations weird?

This was before Title IX, the 1972 Education Amendment the Civil Rights Act of 1964. My school had NO athletic girls, except for the intramural basketball played during the lunch hour. I think it was on especially for the guys we had fun and strange rules and ugly gym uniforms. There were five players on a team, a center, two guards, two forwards. What is strange that? Let me tell you! Only the center could go through the whole court. Guards stood on its side with the other strikers in midfield. Travel was not well seen, but since no one taught us how to move and bounce the ball at the same time, travel was a constant. It was really strange seeing players come to a halt in line center! The bright spot is that we all learned to pass the ball – no pigs ball when you can not play the whole court! Does anyone else play this way, squamous b-ball?

Why, yes, and I hated it, along with the ugly uniforms.
