Helping a child to take a weight loss plan?

** Posted this is the diet and fitness, but I need an opinion I'm Teens 13, female, 5'0 and about 130 pounds I want to lose weight during the summer, maybe 15-20 pounds and I found a great website to help me, http://teenshealth.org/teen/ bassically the site says things about making a weight loss plan of your body, and I'm not so sure how. I'm cutting in what you eat, and eat something healthy, as grains, fruits, vegetables, etc.. Other ideas in food? I also need help on different exerciser I could do. I love running, I can walk, and I heard that 30 min. Operating = 10 minutes of jumping rope. Is that true? Plus I do not have a lot of gym equitment around the house so these trainings have to be innovative. I also have a subscription to Lifetime Fitness, and I know I have to go there more often. I know this much, but I am in extreme need for a fitness plan. 10 points to the best person to answer all these questions. thanks! <3

Well, I'll tell you what I know. I hate counting calories, so no alternative. I watch what I eat. I replace white bread with integral, do the same with pasta sauce, use less pasta, not used in salad dressings, eating fruits and vegetables at each meal, or eating fruits and vegetables for snacks, replacing sugary drinks with lemon water (the house), bring my own lunch to school, so only small things like that. It is very difficult to change our lifestyle completely alone. I do not count calories, because it is too hard and can not know what are the calories in healthy foods, so it forces you to eat processed foods unhealthy for you to know what the calories 're eating. I hate running myself. It's too bad in my knees, which hurt enough. Jump rope is good, but not to that extent much. I suggest you jump rope for about 5 minutes, take a stretch break 30 seconds to one minute, then go for another 5 minutes. You can do it once a day every day, or 3 -4 times a week. Anything can be used as a team! Cans of soup can be dollars, you can stretch, use your TV to do some yoga or pilates, etc, etc. Just use your imagination.
